Gynecomasty (Correction of "masculine breast")
Gynecomasty or growth of breasts in men can cause embarrassment. However, few know that this can be solved with a simple surgical intervention that does not require internment in a hospital. There are three gynecomasty types: the "True", the "Mixed" and the "False". The "True" kind is provoked by a benign increase of the mammary gland. The "False", for the excess of fatty tissue. The "Mixed", is a result of a combination of these two types. There are several surgical techniques for the treatment of gynecomasty. In case of "False" gynecomasty, it is enough to do a liposuction. In the case of the "True", the excess of glandular tissue is removed through an incision in the aureole or the area around it. In the "Mixed" gynecomasty, liposuction is used to remove the fat and the surgical incision for the removal of the glandular tissue. Such procedure is usually accomplished with local anesthesia and sedation and the time of recovery is about one week.
